PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

"Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world -- the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of the life -- comes not from the Father, but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever." 1 John 2:15-17

This presidential election has me concerned about our nation. Unfortunately there are no candidates that give me hope. The only thing that gives me hope for our country is the promise of Jesus Christ. While the presidential candidates are not promising to have control, the Light of the World has full control over our place on this earth.

"See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ." Colossians 2:8

And while some may be in fear of our state of our nation, the only thing we can fear is His judgement. We are not of this world, so worldly things do not matter. The winner of the 2016 presidential election will not make difference in the after life. While I am not saying not to vote, I am saying not to place all your worry or care in one worldly leader, when the Ultimate Leader is in control.

"For everything in the world -- the lust of the flush, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life -- comes not from the Father, but from the world." 1 John 2:16

So who will I vote for this election? I am not sure. But I do pray that my eyes of the future remain set on Him. For I know this current mess is scary, but the promise of Heaven is perfectly worth it.
