Football season is here! Camp is in full swing and our first game is officially less than three weeks away. The past few months I have had the pleasure of meeting some amazing women that are also significant others of football coaches. One of these women is Christine Flores. Her husband is a coach at University of Missouri and I was so excited when she agreed to be interviewed for Outside the Huddle!
Christine is so much more than a coaches wife! While she enjoys this title by supporting her husband and traveling to away games, she also is a social worker and a fitness coach! She keeps herself busy with her blog, getting together with friends, and focusing on her business. Her passion lies in helping others and she would love to help you too, regardless if you are a coach's wife or not! Christine is currently helping me get in shape and would love to help you too! I am learning about nutrition, listening to my body, and connecting with other strong, confident women. If you are interested in joining the fun, send her an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will jump start you in becoming the best version of yourself.
Christine's advice for coaches wives (and girlfriends!) is to keep yourself busy and reach out to others. "We are all going through the same exact thing and know exactly how you are feeling!" says Christine. She encourages others to find a hobby and a passion aside from involvement in football. Another fun thing is to search hashtags on Instagram related to this lifestyle, which is how Christine and I met!
I am so lucky to have Christine in my life, as a fitness coach, and as someone who understands the crazy world of coaching. Be sure to stop by her Instagram @coachwifelife and introduce yourself!
If you are a significant other to a football coach and are interested in being featured on next month's Outside the Huddle, please let me know!
